Chapter 12: Heh, It’s Natural
The timeline returned to the present. Shen Zhoudu’s far-fetched words were like the thunder outside. The difference was that this bolt of lightning struck directly inside Meng Weiyu’s brain. The corner of his mouth twitched, and he began escaping reality.
“Sorry, that thunder just now was too loud. I didn’t hear what you said.” Meng Weiyu found a suitable way out.
“When you were seventeen, I already liked you.” Ignoring Meng Weiyu’s evasive attitude, Shen Zhoudu firmly repeated what he had said before.
Meng Weiyu’s body slid straight down, hiding his face. Only his left hand, which showed surrender, was still waving.
“You asked me before why I went all the way from the other side of the corridor past your classroom.” Shen Zhoudu had something to tell him.
“Wasn’t it to show off?” Meng Weiyu understood. “I can understand that, because I’m also… the type who, after winning against others even slightly, wants to parade through the streets.”
“No.” Shen Zhoudu did not care about showing off at all. Whether he was outstanding or a failure, he disdained displaying it to others. His inner self was stable, and his personality was not flamboyant. He would never do something like provoke others for no reason.
“Then what other reason could there be?” Meng Weiyu was still hiding in the sofa, his voice so weak it almost disappeared into the air.
He still had not recovered from Shen Zhoudu’s confession.
“I walked over that day only because I wanted to secretly look at you.” But Meng Weiyu was so sharp. Shen Zhoudu had only looked over, and Meng Weiyu caught his gaze. Thus, a huge misunderstanding was born. “It wasn’t provocation. I went to look at you.”
“Why? What’s so good about looking at me?” Meng Weiyu was gloomy, and because of that, he even spoke without thinking. Normally, his reply should have been that he knew he was good-looking, there was no doubt about it, and if others wanted to look, they could. He was very generous.
“That day at the start of school, when I was speaking in the auditorium, I saw you.” Even now, Shen Zhoudu could clearly remember what happened that day. “I noticed you had cut your hair, but my eyesight wasn’t good and I couldn’t see clearly. That was why I ran outside your classroom after class to look.”
“So what exactly was good to look at?” To the current Meng Weiyu, this had happened only a few days ago, so of course he remembered it clearly. He had indeed cut his hair two days before school started. And he personally thought that hairstyle had been a failure. He had cried for a long time over how ugly it made him.
Shen Zhoudu looked down. Meng Weiyu had completely curled into a ball on the sofa, with only his left hand still helplessly gripping the sofa. Shen Zhoudu smiled and said what he had thought at the time.
“Because you were beautiful.”
Meng Weiyu’s movements froze. His wrist turned, and his left palm dropped down like a surrendering flag.
Shen Zhoudu understood what kind of person he was, so he waited for his reaction.
Meng Weiyu took a little time to get his rusty brain working again. Unfortunately, once he started thinking, the first thing he reacted to was that Shen Zhoudu had praised his appearance. He raised his head with a proud expression, but also tried hard to suppress his wild joy. In a forced voice, he said, “Everyone knows the fact that I’m beautiful.”
“Yes.” Shen Zhoudu wanted to laugh.
Perhaps it was Meng Weiyu’s illusion, but he felt that Shen Zhoudu’s tone was very gentle.
So gentle that he once again wished he had simply died in the car accident!
Why did it feel like the fact that they were married was becoming clearer and clearer?
“So, I like twenty-seven-year-old Meng Weiyu.” Shen Zhoudu had never struggled with this. When he found out that Meng Weiyu’s current memories only went up to seventeen, he was not disappointed, nor did he need to hesitate. “And I also like seventeen-year-old Meng Weiyu.”
No matter which Meng Weiyu he saw, there was only happiness in his heart.
And both of them belonged to him at this moment.
Meng Weiyu crouched on the sofa and looked up at Shen Zhoudu. His face was too fair, so when he blushed, it was especially obvious.
“Th-then…” Meng Weiyu felt this question was too private. When he decided to ask it, he felt that he was not being very polite, so he stammered.
“So I liked men from a very young age. It was impossible for me to like Song Wenming.” Shen Zhoudu guessed the hidden meaning he could not say out loud.
“Then why did you glare at me when I talked to Song Wenming?” Thinking of everything that had happened before, Meng Weiyu almost coughed blood.
“Jealousy.”
“Didn’t you say you didn’t like Song Wenming?!” Was everything he said one second ago all bullshit?!
“But I liked you,” Shen Zhoudu quickly replied.
Meng Weiyu’s face went deathly still. He slowly lay down on the sofa, then waved his hand.
Stop talking. He felt like he was going to develop heart disease out of nowhere.
“I like you.” Shen Zhoudu’s eyes stared fixedly at Meng Weiyu, regretting that the current him did not understand his feelings at all. “Although when I first met you, I didn’t know that was liking someone. I only thought you were very annoying. Later, I realized that all my abnormal behavior was like a clueless elementary school student relying on mischief to attract your attention. Otherwise, you wouldn’t even know who I was.”
“That’s not true.” Meng Weiyu opened his eyes, his black eyes looking at the person before him. “The genius youngest son of the Shen family. Who wouldn’t know you?”
“You weren’t interested,” Shen Zhoudu said with deep resentment, his grievance reaching the heavens.
Meng Weiyu no longer wanted to reply. He closed his eyes. He should have been mourning his own life, but as he thought and thought, he suddenly felt that he truly was a charming person. Even a boring zombie like Shen Zhoudu could be attracted by him.
Heh. It was natural.
Shen Zhoudu leaned against the sofa and watched Meng Weiyu, whose brows had originally been tightly furrowed, suddenly relax his expression and hook the corners of his mouth. Shen Zhoudu could not guess what he was thinking at this moment.
But no matter what ridiculous thing he was thinking, it was normal.
“Are you satisfied now?” Shen Zhoudu had said everything he normally would not say, confessing so honestly that even he felt at a loss. And all of it was only for one purpose. “Before you fully recover, let me take care of you.”
Meng Weiyu glanced at him.
Shen Zhoudu’s cold eyes constantly paid attention to his every movement.
“Not really,” Meng Weiyu said, not daring to open his eyes and look at Shen Zhoudu.
The moment this answer came out, the scene immediately fell into silence.
Meng Weiyu waited for a long while but did not hear Shen Zhoudu’s voice again. He frowned, then opened his eyes. The moment he could see what was in front of him clearly, he was so frightened that he kicked his legs and desperately retreated.
At some point, Shen Zhoudu had circled to the other side of the sofa. He was crouching there, staring at him gloomily.
Another bolt of lightning flashed past the window.
Meng Weiyu began to suspect that Shen Zhoudu would kill him here.
“Why not?” Shen Zhoudu sat down on the edge of the sofa.
In an instant, the soft sofa beneath Meng Weiyu sank. He had already escaped to the edge, but he was forced to slide back. Seeing that he was about to crash into Shen Zhoudu’s body, he hurriedly reached out and pressed his hand against Shen Zhoudu’s chest to keep his distance.
The feel was not bad.
Meng Weiyu worked hard to control his hand so it would not press down out of curiosity.
Their two pairs of eyes met. Shen Zhoudu was direct and sincere. Meng Weiyu stared at him for a long time before finally being unable to resist raising his hand and wildly messing up his own hair.
Ahhh!
“Then I’ll tell the truth!” Meng Weiyu made up his mind. No longer escaping, he took the initiative to lean toward Shen Zhoudu.
Shen Zhoudu remained still.
Meng Weiyu accidentally leaned too far forward and felt like he was about to stick to Shen Zhoudu. His brain quickly calmed down, and he moved his backside backward.
“Mm.” He was listening.
“Wu…” Meng Weiyu deliberately made a sobbing sound.
Shen Zhoudu knew what he looked like when he truly cried. If it was too exaggerated, then it was fake.
“I’m only seventeen right now!” Meng Weiyu reached out and grabbed Shen Zhoudu’s collar, pulling him over.
“Don’t…” Shen Zhoudu raised his eyes and looked at him from close range, slowly opening his mouth.
Hearing his refusal, Meng Weiyu prepared to let go.
“Don’t pretend to be young.” Shen Zhoudu finished his sentence.
The moment he said that, Meng Weiyu not only did not let go this time, but instead gripped Shen Zhoudu’s collar tightly, pulling it hard enough to make him frown.
“I can’t understand why I would marry you in the future.” Meng Weiyu began laying the groundwork.
“If you want to ask the reason, it’s because I’ll inherit my family’s assets, and I promised you I would properly manage the business so you could live a carefree life forever, even if you didn’t want to work and only wanted to eat, drink, and have fun.” These were the words Shen Zhoudu had said when he proposed. “If you have doubts, I can have my assistant bring you an asset valuation report.”
“I don’t want to know the lovey-dovey details of my future with you right now.” Don’t think Meng Weiyu could not tell that he was showing off their affection.
“Alright.” Clearly, it was because Meng Weiyu had asked, so Shen Zhoudu had answered.
“In short, in my view, not only am I seventeen, I’m also a seventeen-year-old boy with a normal sexual orientation.” Meng Weiyu brought the topic back.
“Old husband, young wife,” Shen Zhoudu teased.
“I… don’t want you poking my butt!” Meng Weiyu finally blurted out the words he had been holding in for days. His fist knocked against Shen Zhoudu’s chest, and he looked like he was about to cry.
Why did he, a seventeen-year-old heterosexual boy, have to accept the fact that after sleeping once, he had already been rolling in bed with a man for five years?
It was too stimulating!
Could he lose his memory again?
This time, please let him forget he was even human!
Shen Zhoudu could not help blinking quickly twice.
“I’m going to call the police and have you, this beast, arrested. I’m only seventeen…” Meng Weiyu gave up on himself and began talking nonsense.
“But…” Shen Zhoudu leaned forward in Meng Weiyu’s direction, closing in on him.
Seeing his aggressive advance, Meng Weiyu’s instincts made him start dodging. However, this sofa was not very long. Within a few seconds, he reached the end of the sofa, and Shen Zhoudu was already in front of him.
Meng Weiyu had no choice but to lean backward, his head completely resting on the sofa armrest. His eyes kept moving left and right, searching for an escape route.
Shen Zhoudu’s body hovered above him, one hand placed beside Meng Weiyu’s head.
Meng Weiyu wanted to consult his lawyer friend. Could he really not sue Shen Zhoudu for molesting a seventeen-year-old boy?
Shen Zhoudu reached out toward him.
Just when Meng Weiyu worried that Shen Zhoudu was going to do something to him, Shen Zhoudu merely touched half of his face. Then he pressed lightly, turning Meng Weiyu’s face to the side and revealing the ear hidden beneath his hair.
Meng Weiyu froze. Then the skin on that side felt the warmth of the person beside him, whose attitude was cold and forceful.
“I’m only the one on the bottom.” Shen Zhoudu’s mouth moved close to Meng Weiyu’s ear. He spoke softly and gently, using his tone to soften the coldness in his voice.
Meng Weiyu froze, then widened his eyes.
“So you like hearing me say things like this? You really are too much.”
